Chapter 1: Call of the Rebel
The problem is that patriarchy only presents us with two options: conform or rebel. If we reject conformity, we choose rebellion. And rebellion takes many forms; violent, peaceful, creative, complex, simple. Rebellion can be anything as long as it is in opposition to patriarchy’s conformity.
But that is the problem: the binary. This or that. When in reality, there are more than 2 options. The Femme Initiation is about finding the 3rd option, the path less traveled, taking the blue pill and waking up from the Matrix. Seeing what lies beyond this or that, beyond conformity & rebellion.
But I’d rather begin with rebellion, for within my heart stirs a black dragon, sparks a fire goddess, rustles an ancient witch & pulses an alluring seductress. My little dark feminine heart loves a good rebellion.
How could I not when born into a family of rebels. Rebels who ran away to defy family orders, rebels who challenged gender norms, a rebel with a cause mother & a rebel without a cause brother.
I have always rebelled.
Call it my manifestor human design energy that seeks no authority but my own. Call it my fiery Ayurveda Pitta nature, my earthy astrology defiance, or my birth in the year of the dragon. Call it the birthright of a first name that means goddess, witch & queen.
The Femme Initiation is my rebel heart at work, trailblazing an initiation to set us women free.
- It is a mission to be free of the expectations of living in a man’s world.
- It is a siren’s song to call back the pieces of our missing feminine humanity.
- It is a movement to create a world that honors women and the feminine.
Writing these tales is my ode to everyone who chooses not to conform to patriarchy’s standards, to masculine expectations, and to over-operating in masculine energy.
